Wound Care Training for Healthcare Staff

Course Details:

Healthy skin plays an important role in preventing infection, protecting the body and supporting overall wellbeing. This course gives learners a practical understanding of wound care awareness, pressure area care, skin integrity and the early signs of deterioration. It also covers common wound types, pressure ulcer prevention, skin tears, safe escalation and documentation.

Poor wound management and delayed recognition of pressure damage can lead to avoidable pain, infection and hospital admission. This training helps learners feel more confident recognising concerns early, supporting safer care and knowing when to escalate concerns appropriately.

Wound care costs the NHS an estimated £8.3 billion every year, with non-healing wounds accounting for the largest share of this cost.
