Course Details:

Effective wound care plays a vital role in preventing infection, supporting healing and recognising early signs of deterioration. This practical course explores wound assessment, dressing selection, moist wound healing, skin integrity, and the safe principles of clip and suture removal in line with evidence-based practice.

Learners will develop confidence in recognising different wound types, identifying barriers to healing, escalating concerns appropriately and working safely within their scope of practice. The course also reinforces the importance of documentation, accountability and holistic patient care across healthcare and care settings.

An estimated 3.8 million people in the UK were living with a wound managed by the NHS, with non-healing wounds creating significant pressure across community and primary care services.
