Wound Assessment Training for Nurses

Course Details:

Effective wound assessment and wound treatment are essential skills across healthcare and care settings. Poor wound management can delay healing, increase infection risk and negatively impact a person’s comfort, mobility and quality of life. This practical course explores wound assessment, wound healing, dressing selection, pressure damage and skin tear management using evidence-based approaches to care.

Learners will develop a robust approach to wound care, including recognising different wound types, assessing healing progress and selecting appropriate wound dressings in line with best practice guidance.

An estimated 3.8 million people in the UK were living with a wound requiring NHS management, highlighting the growing demand for skilled, evidence-based wound care across healthcare and care settings.
