Course Details:

Safe blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration are essential clinical skills across healthcare and care settings. Poor diabetes management can lead to serious complications including hypoglycaemia, hyperglycaemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, delayed wound healing and avoidable hospital admissions. This practical course explores diabetes awareness, blood glucose monitoring, flash glucose monitoring, insulin administration techniques and safe diabetes care in clinical practice.

Learners will develop confidence in recognising the signs and symptoms of diabetes, understanding different insulin types, administering insulin safely and responding appropriately to diabetic emergencies.
