Our CPD-accredited Venepuncture Training is delivered face-to-face by experienced Clinical Nurse Educators.

Designed for registered nurses, other healthcare practitioners, and HCAs, this practical course provides hands-on training in safe blood collection techniques. Delegates will practice using winged infusion devices, needles, and holders under expert supervision, ensuring confidence and competence in phlebotomy.

By the end of the session, learners will be equipped to perform venepuncture accurately and safely, following best practice guidelines, NICE, NMC and RCN, to support high-quality patient care.

In UK primary care, patients typically undergo five blood tests per year, a significant rise from previous decades — highlighting the vital role of skilled venepuncture in diagnosis, monitoring, and overall patient care.
