Reduce Falls and Improve Patient Safety with Professional Training

Course Details:

This nurse-led, CPD-accredited clinical training provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to assess, manage, and prevent falls effectively. Learners will explore intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors, understand post-fall assessment tools such as SPLATT, and learn safe techniques for both emergency and non-emergency response. The course also covers key elements of documentation, medication review, and care planning in line with NICE NG249 and the Care Act 2014.

Delivered face-to-face or virtually, it’s designed to build confidence, improve safety standards, and help organisations meet CQC training requirements.

Falls are the second leading cause of accidental injury deaths worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. In the UK, falls cost the NHS an estimated £4.6 million every day and are a major cause of hospital admissions in older adults. This training helps healthcare professionals reduce preventable falls, protect patients, and promote independence through safe, evidence-based care.
