Course Overview

This 3 hour training course will be delivered by a Clinical Nurse Educator with first hand clinical knowledge, drawing on their own experience.

Suitable For:
This content is aimed at Healthcare Support Workers and Allied Healthcare Professionals with experience in administering vaccinations, looking for an update on the latest information on relevant diseases, immunisations and vaccines.

Session Aim:
The aim of this course is to empower healthcare support workers to confidently, competently, safely, and effectively promote and administer vaccinations. This course is designed to ensure that healthcare practices maintain the highest standards of safety and effectiveness while providing accurate and up-to-date information about diseases, immunisations, and vaccines. It aims to enable healthcare workers to support individuals in making informed vaccination decisions, thereby bolstering public confidence in the vaccination process and ultimately improving immunisation rates.

This comprehensive update will also demonstrate proficiency in crucial areas, including vaccine storage and distribution within the cold chain process and vaccine administration, including the proper sharps disposal procedures. By completing this course, you'll be better equipped to enhance the services you offer and provide excellent patient care in the vital field of immunisation.
