Medicine Management and Diabetes and Insulin Administration.

Week 2 Learning Outcomes:

Medicine Management:

To have an overview of the legislation governing medicines management.
To identify the different classes of medicines.
To state the benefits and risks of medicines management.
To state the correct procedure for administering medicines.
To identify what to do in the event of a medication error.

Diabetes and Insulin Administration:

Understand the difference between type 1 and 2 diabetes.
Identify the signs and symptoms of diabetes including hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia.
Practice how to carry out effective blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration

Good Record Keeping: Documentation Scenarios to review and complete.

This programme incorperates practical elements and is delivered face-to-face
