Participants will learn about common causes of sepsis, including bacterial and viral infections, and how to assess patients for signs and symptoms of sepsis using established tools such as NEWS2 and other clinical decision support systems. The course will also cover appropriate treatment options, including antimicrobial therapy, fluid resuscitation, and supportive care, as well as the importance of timely escalation of care.
