Session Aim:
Peripheral intravenous cannulation is a commonly performed procedure in healthcare settings. According to the NHS, approximately 1 in 3 hospital patients receive an IV cannula during their stay (NHS Improvement, 2021). This highlights the significance of this procedure in delivering essential fluids, medications, and therapies to patients.
By providing healthcare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills through this training course, we aim to enhance patient outcomes, minimise complications, and contribute to the overall improvement of care delivery in line with the NHS guidelines and best practices.
