Session Aim:
The aim of this course is to provide healthcare staff with a comprehensive understanding of the importance of nursing observations and the role they play in patient care. This course will cover understanding of the NEWS2 system, a vital tool in monitoring patients' clinical deterioration and early recognition of potential life-threatening conditions.
Additionally, the course will cover various measurement techniques, such as measuring body temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and pulse oximetry. The course will also discuss the Glasgow Coma Score, which is a crucial tool in assessing a patient's level of consciousness.
Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of various assessment tools. Understanding of fluid balance and dehydration is also an important aspect of this course, as it plays a crucial role in patient care and helps healthcare professionals in making informed decisions.
