Immunisation Training (Foundation HCAs)
Course Overview
This 8 hours training course will be delivered by a Clinical Nurse Educator with first hand clinical knowledge, drawing on their own experience.

This content is designed for healthcare support workers who are new to the field of vaccinations and seeking guidance on how to effectively participate in various aspects of immunisation.
Session Aim:
The aim of our Immunisation and Vaccination course is to equip all practitioners involved in immunisation with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently, competently, safely, and effectively promote and administer appropriate vaccinations. We strive to ensure that your clinical practice meets high standards of care and is both safe and effective. Through this course, we will provide accurate and up-to-date information on relevant diseases,
immunisations, and vaccines for your patients/clients.
Additionally, we aim to empower candidates to improve immunisation uptake, and demonstrate proficiency in vaccine storage and distribution, including the cold chain process, as well as vaccine administration and sharps disposal procedures.
