Session Aim:
The aim of our End of Life Care training course is to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide compassionate care for patients who are nearing the end of their lives. According to the World Health Organisation, an estimated 40 million people worldwide require palliative care, and only a fraction of them receive it.

Attendees will gain an overview of the National Guidance that surrounds Palliative and End of Life care, including the differences between the two. You will learn to recognise when a person is close to death, identify signs and symptoms, and manage them holistically. Additionally, you will understand the importance of good communication and its impact on healthcare, recognising how it positively impacts the individual and their legacy with families. With this training, you will be better equipped to provide high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families, and help to close the gap in access to palliative care.
