Session Aim:
According to a report by the Royal College of Nursing, around 2.2 million wounds are treated in the community by primary care staff each year in England and Wales. By the end of this course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to safely remove wound closure material, such as sutures, staples, and clips, within a primary care setting.

  • To classify the stages of the wound healing process.

  • To demonstrate the significance of assessment tools.
  • To conduct a simple wound assessment using T.I.M.E.
