Q: How do I book a session? What is the process?
A: To book a training session, please contact us at training@hickbyclinical.co.uk with your request. Our team will be happy to assist.
Once we understand your training needs, we’ll propose a suitable date with one of our educators. When the date is confirmed, you’ll receive a booking form to complete via Adobe Sign. After the form is completed and returned, we’ll send you confirmation of your booked training date and topics.
Q: What are the timings of your training sessions?
A: Session timings depend on whether you’re booking a half-day or full-day training:
Half-day Training (One Topic):
Morning Session: 09:30 – 12:30
Afternoon Session: 13:30 – 16:30
Full-day Training (Two Topics):
Morning: 09:30 – 12:30
Lunch Break: 12:30 – 13:30
Afternoon: 13:30 – 16:30
We include a one-hour lunch break between sessions for full-day training.

Q: How many delegates can attend a session?
A: Our training sessions are designed for up to 10 delegates. If you require more participants, we’re happy to discuss options to accommodate your needs.

Q: Which healthcare settings do you deliver training for?

Training can be delivered either virtually or face-to-face for groups of up to 10 delegates, and we cater to a variety of competency levels.
Q: Are we required to provide any equipment for the educator at our site?
A: We kindly ask that you provide the following for the educator:
We supply all clinical training equipment in advance of the session. If you're able to provide a TV screen with an HDMI connection, that’s appreciated—but if not, our educator will bring a projector.
Please note, we will arrange collection of the training equipment the day after the session.
Q: Do you provide clinical sign-off as part of the training session?
A: No, Hickby Clinical Training does not provide clinical sign-off or assess the practical competency of learners.
We deliver theory-based training and classroom-based practical skills sessions. It is the responsibility of the learner’s workplace to assess and sign off competency through an appropriately qualified mentor. This ensures alignment with professional guidelines on accountability and delegation.
Q: Are your training topics accredited? What do staff receive upon completion?
A: All of our Registered practitioner-focused training topics are CPD-accredited.
Upon completion, we issue certificates of completion to the booking contact. These certificates include the number of CPD training hours (where applicable) and outline the key learning outcomes covered in the session.
